Equal-i cameras are a better choice since they keep everyone in the conference room in the shot at all times, almost equal in size and resolution with near perfect eye contact. This results in more engaging, collaborative video sessions, thus higher productivity!
AURA’s team leverage deep experience in immersive telepresence and have drawn from this in every aspect throughout the design phase of the Equal-i cameras.
Because display size keeps getting larger in conference rooms, standard cameras that mount above (helicopter shot) or below (chin shot) the displays greatly exacerbate the problem of vertical eye line. Eye contact is measured in two components: 1.Vertical eye line and 2. Horizontal gaze angle. By far the most annoying part of eye contact is significant mismatch of vertical eye line. Equal-i cameras are designed to mount at the center of the displays which averages the best possible vertical eye line. Horizontal gaze angles are based sitting positions and face locations on displays and not addressable with conventional technology.
No. Equal-i cameras work best in regular conference rooms with elongated tables. AURA understands meeting room architecture and has optimized its products for the standard conference room
Yes. Equal-i cameras especially benefit the people, often senior staff, sitting at the far end of the table
AURA's mission statement includes "advancing people image capture in ALL video conferencing environments". Using our base E70 and E100 camera platforms, AURA can apply special characteristics such as super wide angle optics and EQ Maps with little or no Image Equalization for rooms with tables parallel to the displays.
The E70 & E120 cameras are specifically designed for dual screen rooms (a majority of all new rooms have dual screens).
AURA has new cameras in its product plan that will greatly enhance single and 3 screen installations.
Equal-i cameras do not have any user-initiated zooming function. The camera’s Image Equalization processing automatically zooms the farthest person 3.5 x larger (compared with other cameras set at the same HFOV) while simultaneously “de-zooming” the closest person to equal the size of the farthest person.
Auto Framing is unnecessary since all people seated at the conference table, irrespective of numbers, appear at the appropriate scale and size for the given room.
The camera mounting location and alignment are important aspects of the installation. The cameras ship with an Alignment Target and Installation Guide which makes the install process very simple and can be carried out by an inexperienced person.
Equal-i cameras are constructed from solid billet aluminum for mounting rigidity and alignment. They are designed as enterprise-grade devices built to exacting tolerances.
5 Years, free replacement in the unlikely event of device failure.
